[The teen is, to be fair, a bit strange anyway. But, though his hand retracts, he's plainly not foolish enough to take Silas at his word.

Especially not when the man can't even manage to pull himself further than being seated, and leaning - seemingly heavily - on the doorframe. Still, Ethan understands a thing or two about stubborn pride, and he's honestly not offended at the idea that maybe the druid doesn't think he could hold his weight.

After all, he probably couldn't hold his weight for long.]

{I'll keep that in mind. I use it mostly in jest, perhaps over a lack of understanding of having any.} [It's hard, with a mechanical voice, to say if he's being genuine with that statement. Nevertheless, he regards Silas for a moment, bony fingers gripping his own chin.]

{I could try to find you a wheelchair; I think I saw one down the hall earlier. Were you looking for something specific? I've been searching for medication, but... more hands seem better than less for both of us, given the situation.}

[Is it really that simple? To his logical mind... yes. Yes it is completely that simple. He hasn't gotten a good read on the other yet, but there's nothing more alarming about him than the situation, so like his impromptu partner, he's decided that for now, a truce is their best bet.

That logical mind has not reminded him that he's not so much as offered his name, however.]
