He's pretty sure he might die before he gets used to it. It's fine, though, as long as she's happy. He's a simple man, in the end. Which leaves him... somewhat lost to explain what he means about humans being experiments.

"It's... hm." This, at least, is less being choosy with words and more being unsure what words will even make sense to her. "If you ask some of the religions, humans were born of a God who wanted to understand what would happen if you created something with free will." So no, not really as nice as pets, and they weren't given anything in particular... though with his lifestyle and the lifestyle of all Awakened, it's hard to say what would be truth. Plus, he's actually met Gods. The idea that a single one created them all... well, it feels unlikely. "It's... a strange thing."

Her wing touching his cheek is better received than the kiss, perhaps amusingly, though he still clearly doesn't really know what to do with it. He can't figure out the why, either, but it keeps him content enough. A hand even reaches up to brush along her wing gently, curious enough that he can't just let it be completely. He'll just hope that she doesn't mind.
