Wu Xie | The Grave Robbers' Chronicles

Arrival
[ Warehouse 11 had a lot of twists and turns in part due to the nature of how the system was set up, and in part due to the fact that the floor runners wore night goggles so that they were operating blind even with the ceiling filled with stars - the largest the ever-present morning star - and the strips of reflective fabric on their uniforms. Wu Xie might be just like the rest of the runners in dress, but he wasn't so blinded when the morning star went out even as he ran from a group trying to grab him. Then someone had tried to stab him and he dodged and twisted and ducked and ran some more.

So he was completely confused when the stacks of boxes and the flickering stars overhead became something else. The unease settled in his gut and then that grew, especially as the throbbing pain in his right arm faded into a memory. He slowed his run to a walk, turning around just to double check his position and saw a wholly unfamiliar cluster of stars not framed by black slashes of steel and glowing strips of labeling.

He stopped and pushed his goggles up onto his hat and squinted at the sky. And that's when he noticed he was holding his grandfather's notebook in his hand. Quickly he shoved it into a pocket and pulled up his right sleeve. It and the skin under it was stained with blood, but the cut he knew he had gotten not more than five minutes ago was now a thin scar. ]

This can't be right... [ And that's when he noticed he wasn't alone any more. He takes a step back, eyes narrowing despite the lack of a uniform on them. ] Do you know where we are?
