[ NOTE: Raven is a severe masochist and his behavior when he's hurt and/or injured is disturbing. There is an opt out post in his journal if you'd rather avoid this! ]
[ 1. Sterile Blues ]
I[ njuries aren't something you worry about when you're immortal. Raven is drawn to the clinic out of boredom more than anything -- it's simply something to do. Even after the strange voice, the stranger change in his vision, he doesn't leave.
Someone may stumble across him -- quite literally -- in a hallway, writhing on the floor. Not in pain...well, yes, in pain, but he's enjoying it a little too much for comfort. ]
More...I can still breathe, more!
[ The punishment for not helping himself is not a punishment at all, it seems... ]
[ 2. Ashes, Ashes ]
[ No one would describe Raven as a hero or even really prone to helping someone out. His role is a watcher, an observer, nothing more and nothing less. However, sometimes he can be drawn out of that role.
Someone struggling against the ash sharks is enough to do that. As an immortal, there's nothing that can truly hurt him. It's not out of altruism that he helps the person out, but out of a need to see what kind of pain these creatures can inflict on himself.
He has a problem.
Raven intervenes, rushing in and slashing with the sets of slender nails on his fingers. He's stronger than his lithe frame suggests, the strike enough to knock the ash shark down.
He licks the ends of his weapons as his eyes flick back to the shark's original intended victim. ]
If you can run, run...I can give you all the time you need to get away.

You don't fear anything when death has no meaning.
