(She'd been holding her leg off the ground, balancing herself mostly on one foot while holding onto Ferdinand but when he asks if she can walk... She sets her foot down gingerly. It stings and she knows that before she can really answer, she needs to understand the situation.

This means letting go and kneeling down to get a look at her leg. It's bleeding and she can tell that that whatever bit her, there quite a few teeth. She can't really wonder about it anymore than that though and she reaches to grab the ribbon from her hair and wrap it around her ankle tightly like a bandage. She works quickly, like someone who's done this many times before, and she stands up again.

It still hurts if she's being honest but,)

I'll be okay. Please, d-don't worry about me.

(She won't be a burden in this situation,)
