Paige Guthrie/Husk | X-Men Comics

Arrival

[Paige had been having a pretty normal day in paradise, all things considered. She'd woken up with the sunrise, sipped a couple of mimosas on the beach, and then had headed off into the jungle for some exercise. She'd had plans for the evening, just hanging with Sam and Melody, maybe popping over to Westchester to catch a movie or something. Basically things were finally looking up for Mutantkind, and for the X-Men in general and she was living large as a hero of Krakoa.

Right up until she leaps over a fallen log and through, apparently, a gateway she hadn't known about. Stumbling, catching herself before she trips, Paige rights herself and looks around in bleary eyed confusion.]

...The hell?

[Her jaw sets as she realizes there's no Krakoan gateway, and she glares at anyone nearby. She may not be the most physically imposing person at 5'7" but she's clearly got muscle tone, and the fire in her gaze is unmistakable. She's ready to fight if she doesn't get answers.]

Where the hell am I, and how'd I get here?

Braving the Trail

[A magical trail that one can't turn around on? That one's new even to Paige, but it's caught her interest at least. She's a pretty experienced hiker, so this at least promises some semblance of enjoyment for her. Setting off alone, since she's not particularly talkative, her focus entirely on the path ahead.

Her attention span is pretty absolute, and she doesn't turn around, making it all the way to the end. Maybe there's someone there, in which case she'll greet them with a wave]

Nice, ain't it?

[But just as easily, Paige sees someone frozen in place on her way back and stops, curious.]

...You okay?

It Arrives

Oh no...get out of here you sonnovabitch!

[Paige glares from over the fence around a small vegetable garden, her jaw set and her eyes blazing in the direction of the honking beast. In one hand she holds a hoe, the other clenched into a tight fist.]

I've had enough of you comin' in here, ripping up my tomatoes.

[Honk! is the only reply, implying perhaps that peace was never an option.]

Don't make me come over there.

[Honk! (someone stop her before she murders this goose)]

Confession

Anywhere in the world? Well heck, I've already been most places, so let's say home. Kentucky or Krakoa, doesn't matter which. Why? C'mon, do I gotta spell it out for you? Home is home, period.

Wildcard

[If you're looking for another scenario or want to plot something, hit me up at [plurk.com profile] intercession. Paige's canonpoint is roughly current comics continuity, a few months behind.]
