The silence will stretch on until a new topic presents itself, but that isn't necessarily uncomfortable. They are, after all, at the precipice of a terribly beautiful scenery, and there's a lot to just... enjoy about that. If the silence stretches on too long, Xavier might find something to talk about, something to ask, but it's pretty clear that he's not inclined to interrupt too much just yet.
