...No, maybe that's not entirely true. His memories are foggy, but he can still recall the terror he'd felt so often in his childhood, locked up in the Abbey he knew as his home. It's the terror that he remembers most of all. Nowadays, the things that come back to him are always the things he'd rather forget, aren't they?
So with his body frozen in place, and his eyes wide in shock... the overwhelming fear that creeps up on him is a horribly familiar feeling. One he hasn't felt in a long time.
It's that feeling of hopelessness. Of knowing that there's nothing he can do - that's what he can't take. Kai may have his Dranzer, and his Sacred Beast is always by his side, but without those things... right now...
He's just a kid. A kid scared out of his mind.
