We decided to offer blanket revisions because our playerbase was rightly demanding fairness, and we did not wish to single out any particular applicant for receiving a different response. Our applicants did nothing wrong and did not deserve the treatment they received, but we don't believe offering blanket acceptances or accepting some and not others would have been fair for anyone.
What you are saying here is, essentially, that you gave revisions to apps that you admit did not deserve any revisions, on the grounds that you don't want to "single anyone out."
By this logic, you should have rescinded all app judgments and given every single app revisions requests, even if they had been accepted already. You're already admitting to making up pointless revisions, so why not be "fair" and make everyone have to deal with that?
I'm sorry, but this is completely unacceptable from any mod team. Applications should be judged by their own merits. You should never, EVER be giving apps judgments based on the imagined feelings of unrelated third parties, unless it is a serious OOC concern between individual players. You do not make up pointless revisions because you don't want the players who needed revisions to feel "bad" about people getting accepted before them. The solution to this problem is to give revisions that make sense to the players who need revisions, exactly as you would for any app cycle. The fact that your team is still not doing this tells me that I cannot expect this mod team to give fair judgments to applicants.
If you want to make this right, you need to stop making excuses and judge the apps PROPERLY, as they should've been the first time over.
