Thoughts on the Event: Monsters back home sometimes use a similar "appear like a loved one" trick, so Jun won't really fall for his mourner and resort likely to ridding rooms of them as quickly as he can thanks to his holy powers. Hope you weren't attached to that wall because there's now a sword shaped hole in it.

The fog on the other hand will put him in a pretty sour mood, because boy this sure reminds him of a bad time back home that was kinda his fault. Still, he'll be willing to group up with people for safety.
Offering: An Exorcist-type for all our holy repealing needs! While he was hoping to keep up his secret identity for a little longer, he won't be TOO fussed about it since this is clearly a crisis. So it's up to you if he has his hood on or not while interactions!
Interested in: CR! Give me that sweet CR.

Thoughts on the Event:

Big eyes emoji! Pyrrha's definitely going to be seeing her crush friend, Jaune Arc from home in the Manifested prompt. She'll be in Blair House so any housemates (or people who just wanna barge in i guess??) are welcome to help her regain some of her composure again. Gotta get out of Dodge, after all.

Pyrrha's definitely going to want to hit up that grocery store in the Fog prompt. She'll also be looking for someone or a group of people to team up with to maneuver through the fog until they hit Fruit's Basket and kinda just. Chill there. God.

Offering:

- Friendship! Bonding!
- Someone to strategize with. Pyrrha might not have been the leader of her group back at home but she's good to bounce ideas off of.
- Someone to navigate through the fog with
- Negative cr is on the table too! She won't shy away from anyone who seems antagonistic and attempt to put them in their place (with questionable success rates)? Maybe?

Thoughts on the Event: SO UH, Ethan was made to be awful for this event tbh. He's got a lot of bad blood, a lot of painful history, and... he has electronics. Literally hooked into his bloodstream. I'm excited to make him go through the worst pain he has since he was diagnosed with aplastic anemia :D
Offering: Obviously offering Ethan in pretty much any regard - he's aloof and quiet and honestly he'll probably need someone around him pretty often because uh. It's dangerous to go alone, Ethan please stop being a fucking idiot--imean. But yeah! He's honestly a pretty good guy, and if he sees someone in danger he has a habit of jumping in to help if he can.
Interested in: Someone to see Ethan dealing with a Manifested for sure. That'll have some... pretty heavy triggers as possibilities, for murder and the grief therein in particular, and passing mention of suicide is possible. Definitely a thread in the fog, with or without some impending danger and spooky voice shenanigans, would be nice. UH. Anything really tbh!
ETA: I almost forgot: Since Ethan has a bunch of machinery literally installed into his circulatory system and that's gonna start going a little haywire, to... potentially terrifying effect... Someone being around for some of that would also be cool!

Connor-60 | Detroit: Become Human

Thoughts on the Event: So, Connor-60 is a shitty sociopath infant who lived all of a day and cared about nobody...

...except his emotionally abusive AI handler. :) Under normal circumstances, seeing her pop out of the wall all drippy would be too weird to even consider approaching, but he's mostly sure this whole place has to be a simulation, so if she were hacking into its weirdness somehow to contact him... maybe...?

After that, he's going to go lurking through the fog in a terrible mood, pick a fight with his predecessor and get killed. (Again.) I suspect he's going to wake up in a Worse State, but we'll find out more on that as it happens.

Offering: One (1) Dumb Robot for probably-his-housemates to rescue. Also a shooty asshole for your Bad Time fog needs!

Interested in: Any kind of CR, really—he's very new, both to existing and this game. He's likely to be especially angry and paranoid out in the fog, so if anyone wants negative CR (or to join the character death train), this might be a fun time for it? I'd prefer he survive long enough for Connor-51 to kill, but you can heck him up pretty badly. He's got eight bullets and will quite probably shoot first.

Naruto Uzumaki & Sakura Haruno

Offering:

Hello!! Naruto and Sakura (katsuyu) come from a world where sensory illusions are pretty common, so they'll probably be running around trying to be vigilantes then setting up camp somewhere on the first day. Naruto grabbed a stock of cup noodles from Fruit's Basket because he found out he could and then was told to get candles, so! If your character would like to join in on a week of Pure Ramen Consumption and ridiculous campfire stories because Naruto and Sakura are used to the rodeo of faking it until they make it and hopefully lessening this traumatic experience (then realising they're all steadily getting crazier together anyway), they're your pals. Writing the surmounting tension within their little camp and eventually even causing them to divide despite their attempts to tether each other down? Could be interesting. 👌

Naruto would have a propensity to try and keep positive, and by the end of it may or may not snap when people don't vibe... Meanwhile, Sakura's wariness will be steadily mounting into hypervigilance and a sense of distrust in anyone new who approaches. There's a lot of potential!

Alternatively (or even on top of it), feel free to get mad at them for busting down your door or window trying to tear your character away from their supposed loved ones then physically hauling them off?! Joining their party completely optional.

Interested in:

Characters coming together and coping, just being able to CR build in general. Nothing says friendship like forced proximity and near-death experiences... but also the occasional intrusive thought that they did not mean to say aloud. Give us all the cute (?) group dynamics. Playing out the awkward after-event apologies could be fun too!

Thoughts on the Event: Connor-51 is a less shitty infant of three months who cares about anyone who is kind to him (and sometimes even the people who aren't). Like Hank! Hank now likes Connor through the Power of Friendship (and being aggressively friendly at all times) but alas, Hank isn't here.

Except, he's showing up in Connor's bedroom as a Manifested, and Connor will absolutely try to touch him... or lick the ooze. Please stop him.

Otherwise Connor can be found helping people out of the fog, patrolling Fruit's Basket, or drinking pouches of blue blood irritably because he just had to kill his dumbass successor.

Offering: A well-intentioned android who just wants everyone to make it through this. Except Connor-60. Connor-60 can die.

Interested in: CR! Positive or negative, though Connor will default to being polite and kind where he can.

Thoughts on the Event: Arima doesn't exactly have a dear loved one so have fun with realizing he literally doesn't give a shit about anyone I guess /sweats No but for real. He might see Kaneki or Eto manifest within the walls but...will not hesitate to get rid of them himself, which is a big worrying warning sign?! He is not okay...

Offering: Offering one tired, old, man who can't really see out of one eye anyway?? So he'll be a-okay in the fog. If anyone needs an assist/help getting through it he is your man! His weapon also generates lightning which might be useful against the manifested, so if you need some help getting rid of those pesky loved ones, he can help too.

Interested in: Any and all CR! Arima is kinda dead on the inside so he has literally 0 chill when it comes to anything? So if you need protecting or whatever he'll do it.

Kabane attempting to save him from a mourner and then realizing he can handle himself might be fun! Because Kabane wouldn't see that as a warning sign at all. He didn't have anyone he cared about for a very long time too. It happens. And if it saved him, it can't be all bad.

Thoughts on the Event:

Creepy! Anyway,
— I'm not top leveling because of #life so I'll mostly be tagging around instead. I can do a closed starter if it's better for us, though!
— Sakura is absolutely going to be seeing her mother again. Luckily(?), she's seen her mother die, get brought back to life for manipulative reasons, and die again so she's not going to go running into any creepy monster arms. She's still gonna be really upset.
— Sakura's primarily a healer. She can heal people using her staff and also knows first aid (by ye olde fantasy JRPG standards). She can fight and has some offensive magic she can use to defend herself and others.
— It isn't really fleshed out in the game but Sakura has training as a shrine maiden and priestess and she has some experience with purification rituals and such. She can help with temporary exorcisms and will probably make some charms to ward off evil to give to others.
— Fog prompt is going to bring out her trusting nature and she's probably going to end up being lured into dangerous situations. She'll catch on but if a voice sounds too familiar...

— A chance for your character to be a hero/strong figure

Interested in:

— Sakura is going to want to find other medics/healers and try to set up some sort of support network to make sure everyone is taken care of during this event and future events. If anyone want to jump the lead on this, go for it and Sakura will support you 100%!!
— I definitely see her being more of a junior/intermediate exorcist but with the potential to become more proficient with time/practice. If she can shadow or learn more from someone, she can align what she knows and focus her skills to be more effective in the future. If it helps, I'm playing her as her onmyoji class and using a little bit of creative liberty based on what we know from canon.

well. he's already mad about these kidnappers messing around with him, so he's extra not going to be happy about any of this and will highkey not want to be around any of the wall spookies. and will also not like the fog, although it's something he'll think he can navigate well enough by Sheer Determination (also his magic deals with the dark, so he'll just think he can somehow manage lmao). sooo ultimately, he'll be all about making sure people get to the safe place as quickly as possible. if anyone needs some rando bursting into the house koolaid man style, luka can do it. or rescuing in the fog, he can do that, too.

Interested in:
building cr! positive or negative. he'll be doing his best to Stay Positive and also fight all the things, so. there's that. likely won't top level for it, but happy to tag in somewhere and/or do a starter!

Thoughts on the Event: Yeah Sokie is not going to be impressed and rather ticked off once she realizes what's up (And she doesn't usually lose her temper either. But boy oh boy she's going to end up burned at least once. She's going to enjoy going through the aisles and forget how she hecked up.

Offering: Sokie may go all out with the magic, especially the light! She can do medic things, and kick things really hard with her foot (and get burned) but she can be at least a more steady and calmer presence during the fog and in fruits basket.

Interested in: Oh gosh, She needs to make Friends. Kids to gather, adults to have coffee with, people to scold, people to scold her...all the good things.

Medic things could potentially be nice, since he's going to be suffering from... some... treatable things and some less treatable things in the moment, coughs. And not stumbling through the fog alone when you can barely think through whole body pain? Amazing.

Thoughts on the Event:
Kabane is going to be pretty useless here, and I'm super looking forward to it. All of his power is physical, and he's as gullible as a baby playing peek-a-boo.

What this means is that when his friend Shiki or Akira appears gurgling tar in a wall, he will immediately try to save them from the wall - hug them tight and pull them out, acid burns be damned. And when the fog starts whispering directions to him? He will listen to those directions until someone tells him not to.

Offering:
A teenage kid who needs babysitting!

But also, because Kabane feels no pain, he will willingly hop in to attempt rescues when he sees people in trouble. Once he's figured out that the mourners aren't really the people they appear to be. There's no way he'll figure out that a candle will stop them without being told, but he can grab the mourners and haul people away with the remains of his arms, assuring them it's okay because the arms will grow back.

Also also, a human torch who can temporarily keep your character safe from mourners and mysterious fog whisperers.

Interested in:
Exactly what I mentioned above as well as some fog bonding. He's a decent survivalist, so he can scrounge up food and sleep in the dirt no problem, but he'll want to talk out all of the Bad Thoughts with all his new buddies who will probably prefer literally anything else.

Kabane and Papyrus should hang out together. I mean, there's a chance it'll be a disaster but he will go along with talking about Bad Thoughts, if only to turn them into Good Thoughts.

Thoughts on the Event: ...god, he'd probably be angrier with the mold and water damage at first. He's also trusting to a fault, so it might take him longer to see the mourners, but eventually he'll decide that this is HORRIBLE AND REALLY NOT WHAT HE HOPED FROM THE SURFACE. Still, he'll try looking on the bright side - surely horrible experiences with other people count as "bonding"??

Offering:
- Creative use of magic to get people away from the mourners
- Relentless optimism to counter the paranoia
- Very loud voice to help through the fog

Interested in:
- Someone to help him with the first mourner he encounters, shaped like his brother Sans. Papyrus will probably yell at him for being messy and step right into the trap.
- FRIENDSHIP

Nie Huaisang | Mo Dao Zu Shi

Thoughts on the Event: Huaisang's big brother that he has a really strong bond with is going to appear as a mourner at Upshur Cottage. So he's going to be pretty vulnerable to harm from it. I'd rather he survive the encounter so escaping with acid burns, maybe after experiencing some other ill effects before he finally flees into the fog. I plan for him to wander around lost and potentially almost take a tumble off a cliff or be led back to Upshur Cottage before eventually meeting up with Xiao Xingchen and making his way to the grocery store where he's gonna camp out until the fog lifts.

Offering: Huaisang has basic skill in Daoist magic but not much spiritual power to back it up. He might be able to remember how to craft a weak protection array (magic circle) or talismans or heal minor injuries. He can boost his physical capabilities just a little by manipulating his qi to maybe pull someone back from a cliff or something. Once he calms down from his encounter with the mourner, he might be able to go out to search for others in town to bring to the grocery store if anyone needs a hand to hold. For the most part, he's not going to be a whole lot of use during this event though.

Interested in: I'd love for Huaisang to meet and get acquainted with other young people in game, especially those from more modern time periods! Until coming here, he's only really interacted with people from his world's society of mystics so he's still learning how ordinary folk live. In a lot of ways, Huaisang's similar to a modern teen but he's from ancient China which has different cultural norms, standards, etc, so characters that can confuse and clash with him. Adults that can guide him for good or ill are also very much much welcome! Also throw cute girls at him, he doesn't have much experience with them. And boys to be bros with him. He misses having bros and if he ever gets his hands on porn or booze, he will happily share the goods! /fingerguns

Xiao Xingchen | Mo Dao Zu Shi

Thoughts on the Event: Xingchen is remarkably trusting, so that should help out the Upshur crew with...not manifesting more than maybe one moldy wall-squatter. That being said, his personal mourner will be Song Lan. How effective that will be is questionable as Xingchen can't ding dang see and since said mourner can't speak, then nothing is really going to tip him off to it being His Very Good Friend. That being said, he can help out with the candle situation or the stabby bits.

As for the fog, he will happily act as part of the human chain. Hold his hands! Hold onto his sleeves! Don't hold onto his sword, though, he might need to use that. But not being able to see won't be a problem for him, so he'll probably be one of the more confident people in the Great Grocery Store Trek. Just. Someone get him GPS because he has no idea how this town is laid out.

Offering: Everything above! Basically, if you need a tall, calm friend to help guide you around, just call this dude up. He's a cultivator! Spoops are the name of the game.

Interested in: There are too many things in the grocery store that are simply boxed up. He can't see, therefore he can't read. Someone please help a very confused man find the vegetables. And then just whatever CR comes his way! Xingchen's really nice and agreeable, it shouldn't be hard.

Thoughts on the Event: Love it! My birb needs all the trauma that she can get! Once she sees her family, she will want to be in their arms. Especially if they take the form of her mother, whom she feels the worst about dying. Her guilt may cause many to manifest.

With the fog, Leanne will probably be reaching out to Nature a lot for guidance. Hopefully she won't accidentally summon a kaiju. lol
Offering: Leanne can put some to rest using her songs and the candle. But it would be hard to pull her away from the illusions of her family and clan members.

She can also heal and contact nature for guidance so once she can snap out of the illusions, she will be more active in helping out others.
Interested in: CR! GIMMIE ALL THAT SWEET SWEET CR!

okay, don't worry, he's not going to be smug about it because he's going to be too busy being FURIOUS about it. honestly all this is going to do is make him even more determined to get to the bottom of this, and feel validated in his distrust of their captors. :shrug:

a lot of what he's good at is pretty useless in this event, so all i can offer is a huffy prince who is not used to roughing it at all. he will Try His Best. come laugh at him if you must.

Interested in:

all the cr ever! jas has never had friends growing up, so i want all kinds of positive cr, any you can offer! negative cr is also welcome, and maybe even expected, given how jas can... be... when he's too stressed and upset to pay attention to himself.

Remember how Abby made a video call and seemed all like cool and had it together and was making bad jokes.

Okay, well, now she's gonna be really fucked up from having the monster look like the kid that she's looking after. Literally the only person that she cares about that's still alive. So she can and will literally suffer death to try to save "him".

Offering:
-A dumbass who really wants to save her monster
-An emotional dumbass who will fight you if you try to pull her away
-A hypocrite who will try to pull you away from yours
-Someone who can lift heavy things.

Interested in: ALL THE CR.

Thoughts on the Event: Oh man, this is great.

Rose is going to see Haurchefant (it’s complicated and she feels guilty) and also probably the twins (the people she’s closest to). For someone who loses people close to her on the regular and is often involved in life-or-death situations, it would be tempting to think that she has a lot of emotional composure.

But she does not.

She’ll probably need bailed out before things get dicey. Once she’s regained her composure, she can (presumably) help drive away spirits.
Offering: One traumatized catgirl. Once the worst of the event has passed, she’ll be able to help. She’s a white mage, so not only is she a healer, she has a strong connection to nature. Be warned; if anyone encounters her in the fog, she’s likely to be very angry.
Interested in: Anything and everything! I’m here for the good CR.

rufus shinra | final fantasy vii

Thoughts on the Event:

whew this first event looks really amazing!!

— i think it's interesting especially for rufus because it's not like he really has too many people that he would consider a "loved one", and so the manifested for him might take on the form of one of his turks, most likely. and he won't like that. naturally he would probably end up trying to touch the thing, getting burned, and/or eventually taking his shotgun to it out of pity? or to even just see if it's real.
— if/when someone gets him out of THAT, he will definitely want a hand to hold through the fog. he's got dark nation with him but she's terrified as hell and doesn't seem to be snapping out of it any time soon. being holed up at the grocery store might drive him crazy so he may want to try to go or do something else instead.
— welcome package-wise, he probably won't trust it until he sees other people consume their things first. he may be very vocal about this, especially to anyone in his house.

Offering:

— rufus has his shotgun, if anyone needs the help...though he'll likely hold that against your character later for a favor
— he also has dark nation! but as i said, she's a scared pupper right now
— near constant complaining or judgments or micromanaging
— generally a pain in the ass, but at least not a scared one (for now)

Interested in:

— anyone in blair house who wants some housemate shenanigans!
— in the same vein, anyone who might wanna rescue him from his wall monster
— a hand to hold in the fog, or many hands

Sora | Kingdom Hearts

Thoughts on the Event:

- Sora is more than likely going to be able to see Riku and Kairi in the walls as mourners as those two are his closest friends and he misses being away from them. It’s possible he would also see Ventus and Xion since they are the two missing from his heart group in this place. Seeing them as mourners is going to shock Sora deeply and he’ll probably be reckless with trying to get them out of the walls and get himself grabbed.
- Getting lost in the fog! This sounds like it will be very confusing and disorienting for anyone! He will most likely try to use some wind magic to dispel some of the fog but who knows if that will work? He’ll be more than willing to hold hands with people to get them through the fog as well.

Offering:

- Sora has magic like fire and wind. Using fire on the walls might cause a huge mess but he can also light candles.
- Moral support! Even with all this creepy stuff happening Sora will be mostly well-grounded and will be trying to help people!
- He can summon his keyblade so if weapons are needed he is a fighter!
- Sharing his basket items with others when they get them!
- An annoyingly friendly friend who likes friends

Interested in:

- Interactions at Amakura B House house! I was thinking of setting up a house log eventually for housemates to interact!
- New CR, friends and people to work with to try and figure out this mystery together! He is trying to stay optimistic about this place so far even if everything is super creepy. This world can't be so bad, right? RIGHT??

Thoughts on the Event: big oof

Akechi's mourner is going to be his dead mom! Manifesting almost constantly whenever he's indoors, because he does not trust very easily, and the number of people he trusts completely can be counted on one finger.

Offering: As a Persona-user, Akechi does have Bless skills at his disposal, and he's going to be very committed to making sure that people think he's someone who can be relied on as a protector and competent combatant! So if he sees anyone in distress, he'll immediately leap in to lend a hand.

Interested in: yes

For now, Akechi is going to be trying to project himself as a helper and protector, so he'll be willing to try to guide people through the fog or repel their own mourners should he come across them. He'll even lend a kind ear if things go that way; though inwardly he'll be griping, outwardly he can act kind and sympathetic. I'd love for him to work together to repel mourners with someone, help guide someone through the fog (or be guided), or just general get-to-know-you conversations in Fruits Basket.

Thoughts on the Event: folds fingers 2gether........ my jam. things that i already have planned and/or written up:

🐤 falco is going to have a run in with his older and recently dead brother colt as a manifestation, and inexperience topped with innocence on his part is going to have him running straight into the trap to try and get his bro out of the wall :( there's one tag in slot for that on his tl if there's interest, and that's here! i also don't mind him helping people with their own monsters after he's gotten past his and how to keep them at bay!

🐤 the fog!!!! falco will probably be led to fruit's basket and given his age and v soft face be told to stay there but u thought he would. the boy is sneaking out to help people back to the store and is readily able to give basic first aid if anyone is hurt! the bad news is, he's going to eventually have a run-in with connor-60 and get shot. similar to the blurp above, i have one tag in slot for that too if h/c is your butter! other than that, he'll be hanging around the store after that to recover (don't worry, he has regen), and will be available to talk, interact, ect. same top level but i'll link it again anyway: here!

🐤 unrelated to the event, we have a housing mingle up for sunderland cottage and falco's tl for it is here. guests are more than welcomed to walk in on him for the meet and greet! and his very many kitchen mishaps.

Thoughts on the Event: This will be Hansa through the entire event. He does have loved ones who have passed away, but he's more annoyed than anything that these things are using his loved ones to bother him so! Back into the wall you go! He's just going to punch these things when he sees them, don't mind the priest punching your walls - his arms are made of consecrated metal so they work just as good as the candles, apparently.
He'll also be happy to escort people through the fog, so if you need someone way too calm to chat with while going through that, he's your man.
Offering: Your local altogether unhelpful cyborg priest who will trying his best to help in the shadows and pretending he's not all-powerful magic Inspector Gadget. Anyways, specifically offering:
- friendship? or rather, this random dude probably making wisecracks at you while helping you out of mortal peril

You can assume "Orden" is actually going to be pretty good about checking in with Hansa! He's not the most socialable of guys, but he'll at least want to make sure the priest is doing okay and let him know about any information he finds.

Thoughts on the Event: The dear loved on that the Mourner will be is Sora because that's the only person missing in Roxas' life back home. I do love events where critters are loved ones. The fog is pretty interesting, too.

Offering:
- Can use magic/Keyblades and is good in a fight
- A good mix of pessimism and optimism, so not too overly positive or negative when things go wrong.
- Could be a potential friend? Maybe?
- Or an enemy. Roxas does have a temper.
- Better at listening to someone's problems than sharing his own, so if you need a shoulder to cry on...

Interested in: Friends. Enemies. People to spar with. Maybe people he will become rather attached to, so like found family stuff eventually. Don't really have a limit.

Thoughts on the Event: WELL. Cinnabar's going to be seeing quite a few people from home in the walls, because they're super distrustful - probably Phosphophyllite, Bort, and Sensei. The good news is that they don't normally touch anyone, anyway!! They'll probably be alarmed and leave their house (Sunderland) pretty early on after failing to communicate with any of them.

Which leads to the main problem... Cinnabar's going to wander out into the fog and not come back. Seeing as they're toxic, they most certainly are not going to find a partner to travel with, and are going to avoid the grocery store since it'll be more populated! They'll end up sleeping on the cliff just like back home, except this time they're slowly losing their wits. If anyone wants to save them from falling onto the rocks below and shattering into a billion pieces that would be cool. Come drag them away!!

Offering:
-> someone in need of rescuing during this event but they also weigh 900 pounds and will poison you to death if you touch them directly
-> lonely character who needs to be friendshipped
-> non-human
-> mean and bristly on the outside but gentle on the inside
-> knows about snails
-> detachable limbs

Interested in:
-> literally anything... for this event a character that will forcibly drag them to the grocery store so that they don't Rock Die! BUT IN GENERAL... I WANT CR. let's do it. Characters who are patient and unrelenting (and/or really annoying) are the best candidates for befriending Cinnabar.
